Come in!  Sit down.  Would you care for a cigar?  Welcome to the Melbury Gentlemen’s Club.

The Club is a forum for conversation about how to be a gentleman (or, indeed, a decent person of any gender).  Mixed in with that heady and difficult subject is a smattering of history, reviews, and whatever else strikes our fancy.  This is a place for relaxed conversation on matters sordid and trivial; a place to lean back in your chair and laugh with your friends after a hard day’s work.

The only house rule is this: be polite.  Debate is encouraged; personal attacks strictly forbidden.  The first rule of being good company, after all, is to give the other bloke a little room to be himself.
